Ingredients

  • Steak (ribeye or sirloin preferred)
  • Garlic (2-3 cloves, minced)
  • Cheese (cheddar or provolone)
  • Bread (a hearty loaf or baguette)
  • Butter or olive oil
  • Seasoning (salt and pepper)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Cut steak into thin strips, finely chop garlic, and prepare bread by slicing into thick pieces.
  2. Cook steak in a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil, seasoning with salt and pepper; cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Toast bread in another pan with butter or broil in the oven until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Assemble the dish by layering steak on toasted bread followed by cheese.
