Butter Pecan Cake

A moist and rich Butter Pecan Cake featuring toasted pecans and a buttery flavor that’s perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the toasted pecans and vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
