Crack Chicken Pierogi Casserole

A comforting casserole with flavors of crack chicken and pierogi, perfect for weeknight dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pierogi (frozen or fresh)
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional)
  • ½ cup green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using fresh chicken, boil until fully cooked, about 15-20 minutes, then shred and mix with cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and half the cheddar cheese.
  3. If using frozen pierogi, follow package instructions for cooking, typically boiled for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the pierogi, then the chicken mixture, followed by the remaining pierogi.
  5. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese and optional bacon on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
  7. Let sit for a few minutes before serving to allow flavors to settle.

Notes

Great for potlucks and can be customized with different toppings or proteins.
