Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A comforting casserole blending cheesy pierogis with smoky kielbasa, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen pierogis (potato and cheese-filled preferred)
  • 1 pound of kielbasa sausage (sliced into rounds)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cups of sauerkraut (drained)
  • 1 cup of sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Chop onion, slice kielbasa, and drain sauerkraut.
  2. Layer half of the frozen pierogis in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add half of the kielbasa slices and half of the chopped onion over the pierogis.
  4. Spread half of the sauerkraut over the kielbasa and onions.
  5. Spoon half of the sour cream over the sauerkraut and sprinkle generously with cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with cheese on top.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
