Ingredients
Scale
Steak (Ribeye, Sirloin, or Strip)
2 tablespoons unsalted Butter
2–3 Garlic cloves (sliced or minced)
1 cup Heavy Cream
½ cup grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Take your steak out of the fridge about 30 minutes prior to cooking. Pat it dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add your seasoned steak and sear for 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then flip.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the crushed garlic and an additional tablespoon of butter. Baste the steak with the melted garlic butter and cook until the other side forms a crust, about 3-4 more minutes for medium-rare.
Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
In the same skillet, add 1 cup of heavy cream. Scrape the bottom of the pan to release any savory bits. Stir in ½ cup of grated Parmesan and whisk until smooth. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
Slice the steak against the grain and plate the slices, ladling the Parmesan cream sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
Serve with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, or a Caesar salad for a complete meal.
