Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies

A family favorite, these Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies are massive, chewy, and bursting with melty chocolate goodness.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop out large tablespoons of the dough, placing them about 3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers appear slightly underdone.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For reheating, warm in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5-7 minutes.
