Honey Pecan Croissants

Warm and buttery croissants filled with a glossy honey-pecan mixture, perfect for brunch or as a cozy snack.

  • 4 large buttery croissants
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Slice each croissant lengthwise, leaving a hinge.
  3. Toast the chopped pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Stir in honey, brown sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Cook the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the toasted pecans.
  8. Spoon the warm mixture into each sliced croissant.
  9. Place filled croissants on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  10. Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
