Baked Pears with Honey & Walnuts

A delightful dessert featuring ripe pears baked with honey and walnuts, complemented by creamy blue cheese.

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ cup mixed fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • ½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Place the halved pears, cut-side up, on the baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
  3. Bake the pears for 15-20 minutes until tender but holding their shape.
  4. Distribute the berries evenly over the baked pears, followed by the blue cheese and walnuts.
  5. Drizzle honey over each pear, and garnish with thyme if desired.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Ensure pears are ripe but not overly soft. Adjust honey quantity based on sweetness preference.
