Biscuits Gravy Hashbrown Bake

A warm and hearty casserole combining crispy hash browns, savory sausage, fluffy buttermilk biscuits, and rich sausage gravy topped with melted cheddar cheese.

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 180 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 480 millilitres whole milk
  • 1 packet (78 grams) McCormick Sausage Flavour Gravy Mix
  • 360 grams frozen shredded hash browns
  • 450 grams premium pork sausage
  • 1 can (454 grams) buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a 33×23 cm baking pan.
  2. Cook the pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Spread the frozen hash browns evenly in the prepared baking dish, and top with the cooked sausage.
  4. Whisk together the gravy mix and whole milk until smooth, then pour over the hash browns and sausage.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the casserole.
  6. Cut each biscuit into four pieces and distribute evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.

Notes

Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra spice. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
