Biscuits Gravy Hashbrown Bake

A comforting breakfast casserole combining fluffy biscuits, savory pork sausage, and creamy gravy atop crispy hash browns.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 180 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 480 millilitres whole milk
  • 1 packet (78 grams) McCormick Sausage Flavour Gravy Mix
  • 360 grams frozen shredded hash browns
  • 450 grams premium pork sausage
  • 1 can (454 grams) buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a 33×23 cm baking pan.
  2. Cook the pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles and draining excess fat.
  3. Spread the frozen hash browns evenly in the prepared baking dish and top with the cooked sausage.
  4. Whisk together the sausage gravy mix and milk until smooth, then pour over the sausage and hash browns.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese uniformly across the casserole.
  6. Cut each buttermilk biscuit into four pieces and distribute over the top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes until the biscuit tops are golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.

Notes

Add cooked vegetables for extra heartiness or try different cheese varieties for a twist.
