Black Forest Dump Cake

A delightful twist on the classic Black Forest dessert featuring layers of cherry pie filling and chocolate cake topped with warm hot fudge sauce.

  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the cherry pie filling into the baking pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and melted butter, mixing until just combined.
  5. Spoon the chocolate mixture over the cherry pie filling.
  6. Warm the hot fudge sauce in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  7. Pour the hot fudge sauce over the chocolate cake mix layer.
  8. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the top is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract to the chocolate mix. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
