Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger Meatballs

Delicious meatballs that combine smoky bacon, savory beef, and a hint of bourbon for a twist on classic cheeseburgers.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 lb Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled bacon, breadcrumbs, bourbon, shredded cheddar cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly incorporated.
  3. Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into a ball. Place on a lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned, with an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  5. If desired, brush with additional bourbon during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using different cheeses or spices. You can also prepare the meatballs ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator before baking.
