Buckeyes (Peanut Butter Balls)

Delightful no-bake treats that combine the creamy goodness of peanut butter with rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1½ cups creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup shaved paraffin wax

Instructions

  1. Beat together the creamy peanut butter and softened butter in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, blending until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Chill the balls in the freezer for 1 hour to firm up.
  6. While the balls chill, melt the chocolate chips and paraffin wax together in the microwave until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate mixture and allow excess to drip off.
  8. Let the chocolate coating harden completely before serving.

Notes

For easier rolling, refrigerate the peanut butter mixture for about 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
