Cheesy Garlic Butter Chicken Bowties

Warm, creamy, and comforting, these Cheesy Garlic Butter Chicken Bowties combine tender shredded chicken with al dente bowtie pasta in a silky garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. bowtie pasta
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
  2. While the pasta cooks, shred the cooked chicken and mince the garlic. Measure the cheeses and heavy cream so everything is ready when you need it.
  3. In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan until the cheeses melt and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the drained pasta and the shredded chicken to the skillet, tossing gently to coat everything evenly in the cheesy garlic butter sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil before serving.

Notes

Use hot pasta straight from the pot when adding to the sauce for better absorption. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
