Cheesy Goodness

Indulge in this deliciously cheesy grilled cheese recipe with layers of melted mozzarella and zesty pepperoni, perfect for snack time or gatherings.

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, very soft
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 6 ounces pepperoni
  • Warm pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened butter, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a medium-sized bowl until smooth.
  2. Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread, placing them butter side up on a sheet tray.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat, then carefully place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
  4. Top with one slice of mozzarella, followed by 6 slices of pepperoni, another slice of mozzarella, 6 more slices of pepperoni, and a final slice of mozzarella.
  5. Place another slice of bread on top, butter side up, and cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Serve immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, use a lid on the skillet while cooking to help melt the cheese evenly. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
