Pizza Grilled Cheese

Indulge in a mouthwatering Pizza Grilled Cheese combining mozzarella, pepperoni, and aromatic herbed butter for a crispy delight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, very soft
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 6 ounces pepperoni
  • Warm pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened unsalted butter, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a medium-sized bowl. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  2. Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread. Arrange the bread slices butter side up on a sheet tray for easy assembly.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place one slice of bread in the skillet, butter side down.
  4. Layer one slice of mozzarella cheese, followed by six slices of pepperoni. Add another slice of mozzarella, then layer six more slices of pepperoni, finishing with a final slice of mozzarella on top.
  5. Top with another slice of bread, butter side up. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Carefully flip the sandwich to cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and repeat with the remaining ingredients to make additional sandwiches.
  8. Serve the Pizza Grilled Cheese immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

Use fresh mozzarella for an even creamier texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
