A comforting dish that combines pizza and pasta with layers of ravioli, marinara sauce, Italian sausage, and melty mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 grams Italian sausage
  • 700 milliliters marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 65 grams chopped bacon
  • Pepperoni slices, as desired
  • 710 grams frozen cheese ravioli

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Dice the yellow onion and chop the bacon if it is not pre-chopped.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add the Italian sausage to the skillet and break it up as it cooks until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  5. Stir in the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and freshly ground black pepper. Pour in the marinara sauce, then add the chopped bacon and desired pepperoni slices. Mix everything together until well combined.
  6. Gently fold the frozen cheese ravioli into the skillet mixture until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a large baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  9. Remove the foil and broil for 2 to 3 minutes to crisp the cheese.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best taste and texture.
