Creamy Baked Chicken Mushroom

  • 300 grams cream of mushroom soup
  • 120 millilitres whole milk
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and whole milk until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels and season thoroughly with salt, black pepper, and paprika on all sides.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken legs and sear them until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
  5. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  6. Arrange the seared chicken legs in a baking dish. Distribute the sautéed onions and garlic over the chicken.
  7. Pour the mushroom soup mixture over the chicken, ensuring even coverage.
  8. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbling.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken legs with herbs or spices before cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
