Garlic Butter Baked Chicken Breast

A simple weeknight star that delivers rich flavor with juicy and tender chicken, complemented by a warm garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (58 oz. each)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Position a rack in the center of the oven for even cooking.
  3. Pound the chicken to 1/2″ thickness and season both sides with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place breasts between plastic wrap or in a resealable bag and gently pound with a meat mallet or rolling pin for even thickness.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Stir until well combined so the garlic is evenly distributed.
  7. Optionally, sear chicken breasts in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  8. Spoon garlic butter sauce over chicken and bake for 15-20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving and spoon more garlic butter on top.

Notes

Pound the chicken to an even thickness for uniform cooking. Optional searing enhances flavor but is not required.
