Loaded Cheeseburger Alfredo Pasta

A comforting dish that combines the creamy texture of Alfredo sauce with the savory satisfaction of a cheeseburger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. penne pasta
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, then add the penne pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta cooking water.
  2. In a large sauté pan over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the browned beef and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, letting it thicken slightly.
  5. Gradually mix in the shredded cheddar cheese and Parmesan until melted and creamy. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Add the cooked penne pasta to the beef mixture, stirring to coat. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and let meld for a couple of minutes over low heat.
  7. Serve hot, optionally topped with more cheese.
