One-Pan Butter Parmesan Pasta

A cozy and simple one-pan pasta dish with rich buttery flavors and melted Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. pasta (Fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large skillet filled with salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until foamy, then add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, stir to combine, and bring to a simmer for about 2 minutes.
  4. Mix in the Pasta: Add the drained pasta to the skillet, stir gently to coat each strand in the buttery mix, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta, stirring until it melts and forms a creamy sauce.
  6. Season: Taste and add salt and black pepper as preferred.
  7. Serve: Remove from heat and serve immediately, topped with chopped parsley if desired.
