Pineapple Dump Cake

A delightfully simple dessert that bursts with tropical flavors and takes minimal effort to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 20 ounces pineapple tidbits, with juice
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 15.25 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup cold salted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Spread the crushed pineapple, including its juice, into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Follow with the pineapple tidbits and their juice.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the packed light brown sugar over the layer of pineapple and juice.
  6. Carefully sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the brown sugar layer, ensuring it covers evenly.
  7. Slice the cold butter into very thin pats and place them across the entire surface of the cake.
  8. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Allow the cake to rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to use room temperature ingredients for even baking. Pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
