Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the creamed butter and sugar mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  7. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Create a small indentation in the center of each cookie using your thumb or the back of a spoon.
  10. Fill the indentation of each cookie with a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture.
