Savory Cabbage Beef Bake

A comforting dish blending seasoned ground beef, tender cabbage, and wholesome rice, enhanced with paprika and garlic, perfect for family dinners.

  • 5 grams paprika
  • 5 grams garlic powder
  • 15 millilitres Worcestershire sauce
  • 200 grams cooked rice
  • 410 grams canned diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 450 grams ground beef

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, adding chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Combine shredded cabbage, canned diced tomatoes, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and garlic powder, stirring until mixed.
  4. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes on low heat.
  5. Prepare a baking dish by spooning in the mixture and covering with foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
  7. Serve after cooling for a few minutes.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Enhance flavor with hot sauce or substitute ground beef with turkey for a lighter dish.
